Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #35

The cover of this 2008 all-ages Marvel Adventures issue says it all: a massive, grinning Venom dominates the image from above, all rippling black symbiote muscle and jagged teeth, while a comparatively small Spider-Man swings below on a web line — looking very much like the underdog in this encounter. Writer Fred Van Lente and artist Cory Hamscher bring "The Side-Kick" to life, and with Francis Tsai's striking cover painting setting the tone, this one promises a tense clash between the Wall-Crawler and one of his most formidable foes.
