Ilsa's search for the Witch Stone continues in Alabama while a rural sheriff investigates cattle deaths. In the city, the police are still investigating victims with their hearts removed. Three boys plan to visit old man Crowley's house after one of them sees the dead man wandering at night. In 1896 London, Theodore Theopolis poisons his blood with mercury to help Van Helsing stop Dracula, but unintentionally turns himself into the Mad Hatter.
