The Marvel Universe gets wonderfully strange in this 2017 issue, with a Tyler Crook cover that plunges Man-Thing into a psychedelic cosmic dimension — his massive, dripping green form stretches across a vivid purple-and-magenta void surrounded by floating eyeballs, alien spheres, and swirling dimensional portals, while his glowing red-eyed visage peers out from what appears to be a framed image within the image. R.L. Stine brings his horror-tinged sensibility to the writing, with Germán Peralta on art and Rachelle Rosenberg's electric colors making every page a visual event. If you've ever wanted to see Marvel's muck-encrusted mockery of a man lost somewhere between dimensions — title drop fully intended — "…It's a Python World!" promises to deliver exactly that kind of delightfully unsettling weirdness.
