In "Havoc at Weather-Control," Jo and the Outsiders stumble upon an ancient Battle-Rob while exploring the Grand Canyon, unaware it's still active and programmed to dismantle North America's weather control system. With the help of Magnus, the boys must stop the robot before it triggers a catastrophic storm—before the skies themselves turn against them.

In "An Alien Welcome," Jo and the other Earthmen are treated as honored guests on an alien world—until a faction of extremists sees them as spies. After a warning from Bul, the group ventures out for sightseeing, only to be lured into a sealed chamber where toxic gas begins to eat through their helmets. With time running out, they send a desperate call for help. The story unfolds with tension and urgency, as the fate of the Earthmen hangs in the balance.
