Magneto #2

Magneto sits alone and utterly composed amid a throne of twisted, salvaged machinery, casually levitating what appears to be a Sentinel's eye in one outstretched hand — a quietly chilling image from cover artists Chris Samnee and Matthew Wilson. The muted blues and grays surrounding him make his calm, controlled presence all the more unsettling. Cullen Bunn and Gabriel Hernández Walta's 2014 solo series continues to frame Marvel's Master of Magnetism as a cold, deliberate force rather than a mere villain — and issue #2 looks every bit as compelling as that premise promises.
