When Mary meets new intern Dr. Swift, she is immediately attracted to him, but he ignores her at every opportunity. Dr. Malcolm, a staff psychiatrist, sees Mary's longing and hypnotizes Dr. Swift into kissing her, which leads to the young intern confessing that he too was attracted, but was afraid that romance would distract him from his work.
