Madman Comics #15

The penultimate chapter of "The Exit of Dr. Boiffard" arc lands in Madman Comics #15, and Mike Allred's cover makes a vivid case for why this series earned its tagline as "The World's Snappiest Comic Magazine." Madman himself reels back against an alien landscape, arms outstretched toward a massive, dreamlike orb composed entirely of crowded, swirling faces — bizarre, wonderful, and a little unsettling all at once. Rounding out the package is a bonus Dr. Robot feature, teased by the cheerful snow-globe portrait in the corner, making this 1999 issue a genuinely satisfying double helping of Allred weirdness.
