MAD's February 2013 annual "Dumbest" issue arrives with a gleefully savage cover by Mark Fredrickson — Alfred E. Neuman decked out in a yellow cycling jersey and helmet, triumphantly raising his fists while riding a road bike absolutely bristling with syringes, a not-so-subtle nod to one of the year's most talked-about sports scandals. The cover promises a roundup of "The 20 Dumbest People, Events, and Things of 2012," with Lance Armstrong, Barack Obama, Tan Mom, Kristen Stewart, Apple Maps, Mitt Romney, Facebook, and more all in the satirical crosshairs. Inside, Peter Kuper handles writing, art, inking, and lettering duties on "The Fundalini Pages," making this a wonderfully irreverent time capsule of 2013's take on the year that was.
