Mad #447
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMort Drucker's cover delivers a wonderfully deadpan mashup: a caricature of George W. Bush rendered as the Cat in the Hat, complete with a stars-and-stripes tall hat, red bow tie bearing a presidential seal, and that signature Seussian smugness. The November 2004 issue promises to dig into "The Strange Similarities Between George W. Bush and Dr. Seuss," and also teases parodies of Growing Up Gotti, The Bernie Mac Show, and Martha Stewart's "Secret Prison Escape Plan" — plus a bonus Alfred E. Neuman for President poster tucked inside. MAD's political satire is firing on all cylinders here, arriving right in the thick of a presidential election year.
