Part of DC's Sandman Universe Black Label line, this 2020 issue carries the evocative chapter title "The Rarely Spoken of Body Factories of Hell" — and Tiffany Turrill's painted cover delivers on that promise with stunning, unsettling imagery. A small, cloaked figure bearing a staff stands before a glowing labyrinthine structure, dwarfed by a massive, muscular entity looming overhead with arms raised, its crown dissolving into cascading purple tendrils, while shadowy clawed forms press in from either side. Dan Watters, Max Fiumara, and Dave McCaig bring their distinctive vision of the Morningstar's realm to this penultimate stretch of the series, and the cover alone suggests the scale and strangeness of what awaits within.
