Musubi defends the gateway from the host of heaven until she is killed by Amenadiel. The host enters the gateway, only to be devoured by the spirit of Erishad's unborn child. Mona saves Easterman from being killed by Cal. Later Elaine tracks down Cal in an abandoned warehouse. Mona goes in to investigate, but is killed by Sandalphon. Elaine and Easterman enter the warehouse and confront Sandalphon, who presents Elaine with her true biological father: the archangel Michael.
