Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini's underwater science-fiction series continues with this striking eleventh issue, its cover rendered in Tocchini's loose, painterly style awash in deep purples and muted flesh tones. A figure — pale, wide-eyed, white-bearded — is shown inverted and overwhelmed, clutched by a mass of grasping hands that press in from every direction, the composition conveying an almost suffocating sense of helplessness. Dave McCaig's moody color work ties the whole image together into something that feels less like a superhero adventure and more like a waking nightmare.
