Bob had been raised by an aunt and Lynn had been his only friend. Bob decides to set out on his own, but promises that when he has saved enough money, he will come back and marry her. Lynn promises to wait for him, but as time passes she moves on with her life. Then she receives a letter from Bob saying he is returning from Canada to marry her. Before Lynn has a chance to tell him she doesn't want to get married, he tells her he met a girl on the boat and wants Lynn to polish up his rough courting skills to have a chance with Millicent. As Lynn is training Bob, she finds she still loves him.
