Elly meets Steve on the same day that she is informed that she has inherited her uncle's wealth. Steve doesn't have much money because he puts everything into the special ear-plugs he's invented. She plans to tell him about her inheritance, but he goes on so about the evils of inherited wealth and how it ruined his father, so she decides to keep quiet about her money. However, she decides to help him by anonymously backing his invention.
