Jenny is sent to Paris to find out why Henri's sketches aren't finished. Henri explains that he cannot work because his mind is on Helene. They wish to be married but Helene is under age and her guardian, Armand, will not give his consent because he thinks Henri's job is unreliable. After talking to Jenny, Armand agrees to give Henri a job in his hotel. Jenny gets Henri to make a mess of the job so Armand will admit that his vocation should be as an artist. However, when Jenny falls for Armand and sees that her plan will jeopardize his plans of winning the five star award, she has misgivings.
