Lord of the Jungle #12
Dynamite's Lord of the Jungle #12 closes in on the climax of "The Treasure Vaults of Opar!" with a cover by Lucio Parrillo that sets an appropriately savage tone — a muscular, red-skinned beast dominates the upper portion of the image while the jungle lord himself stares ahead with steely resolve in the foreground, bound or entangled as a monstrous, skeletal figure looms at his side. It's part four of a six-part arc, and the intensity on display suggests the stakes are only rising. Arvid Nelson and Roberto Castro bring this pulpy adventure to life, with colors by Alex Guimarães lending the whole thing a vivid, fiery atmosphere.
