“CSI : Chicken Scratch Investigation”

Foghorn Leghorn has traded his bluster for a deerstalker hat and magnifying glass, playing the detective while an enormous, scowling red bull looms right behind him — a gag setup that perfectly teases the "CSI: Chicken Scratch Investigation" story inside. Foghorn's confident declaration of finding a clue ("Ah do believe Ah've hit the bulls-eye!") lands with extra comedy given the literal bull bearing down on him, blissfully unnoticed. This 2004 DC issue delivers the kind of cheerful slapstick that makes Looney Tunes comics such a pleasure, with cover art by Leo Batic and Rubén Torreiro capturing the characters' animated energy beautifully.
