Looney Tunes #103
Daffy Duck is in full salesman mode on this cheerful 2003 DC cover, briefcase marked "ACME Sales" in hand, looking rather pleased with himself as a thoroughly singed and frazzled visitor stands shell-shocked in a smoking doorway — the apparent victim of an Acme Exploding Doormat. The cover tagline says it all: "For unwanted visitors, there's nothin' like the Acme Exploding Doormat!" It's a wonderfully silly setup brought to life with crisp, expressive linework by cover penciler David Álvarez and inker Mike DeCarlo, and the interior story — "Beauty Is As Beauty Ducks" — promises more of that signature Looney Tunes chaos.
