Long Bow #7
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains three adventure stories. "Night Hawk Rides the War-Trail" features a Native American protagonist who encounters starvation and Mohawk raiders in hostile territory. "Long Bow" by Capt. Stuart Kerrigan follows the titular Blackfoot boy as he and his companion escape bandits and face a leopard attacking a bobcat by a river. The third story involves hunters scouting for food and clothing who receive a warning from an old squaw's prophecy about human wolves and wind shifts, leading them to alert Chief Red Eagle's crow war-party to an impending threat to their people.
Long Bow and his friend Foxfoot stumble upon a dangerous plot when a trained raccoon steals a bullet from a hidden gun, leading them to discover that the Dakota warrior High Bear has conspired to frame Trader Harris and assassinate Chief Red Eagle during a peace council at Council Oak. With evidence in hand but time running short, Long Bow must act decisively to prevent the murder and expose the true conspirators before the council meeting ends in bloodshed.
