Local Man #4

The cover of Local Man #4 bursts with graffiti-style sound effects — BUDDA! BOOM! SCREECH! — setting an appropriately chaotic backdrop for the two figures dominating the scene: a heavily armored, gun-toting hero with a cybernetic eye looming large behind a bald, red-jacketed man clutching what appears to be a bloody weapon. This Image Comics series from writers Tim Seeley and Tony Fleecs continues to blend small-town sensibility with big, loud superhero energy, and this cover — penciled and inked by Seeley, Fleecs, and Bill Maus, colored by Brad Simpson — delivers plenty of both. Issue 4 looks like a wild ride through whatever corner of the superhero world Local Man calls home.
