Lobo: A Contract on Gawd #3

Part three of four in this mature-readers DC miniseries finds the cover dominated by a hulking, red-suited devil figure — horned, snarling, and clutching a trident — crouched against a backdrop of churning hellfire. Kieron Dwyer's cover art leans into the infernal atmosphere with real menace, perfectly suited to a story subtitled "Better to Rule in Hell...?" The creative team of Alan Grant and Kieron Dwyer clearly wasn't shy about taking Lobo's irreverent universe to its most outrageously dark corners — and the cover's pointed warning that it's "suggested for mature readers — we really mean it" only adds to the fun.
