The four-part "Contract on Gawd" saga reaches its finale here, and the cover by Kieron Dwyer makes a bold statement: a massive, mechanical weapon dominates the foreground while Lobo — blue-skinned, bloodied, and barely conscious — sprawls beneath it, contrasted sharply against a chaotic upper scene of a grinning, heavyset figure wielding a gun amid a swirling crowd of brawlers rendered in a style deliberately evoking Renaissance ceiling frescoes. It's a genuinely clever visual joke that captures everything irreverent and over-the-top about this series. With Alan Grant writing and Dick Giordano on inks, this 1994 DC mature-readers title goes out swinging in fine, gloriously absurd fashion.
