Lobo #52
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeLobo trades in his chain and hook for a suit and tie on this darkly comedic 1998 cover, where the Main Man cradles what appears to be a skull while murmuring "Alas, poor Goldstar…" beside an open coffin and a backdrop of candles and scattered Napalm beer cans. Simon Coleby's art gives the scene a wonderfully absurd Shakespearean quality — the galaxy's most dangerous bounty hunter playing the reluctant mourner is exactly the kind of twisted humor this series does so well. With Alan Grant at the helm for "Funeral for a Feeb," the first chapter of a three-part story, this issue promises the perfect blend of interstellar mayhem and irreverent wit.
