Only Lobo could burst through the blood-soaked belly of a monstrous, wild-eyed penguin wielding a heavy firearm while flames erupt around him — and make it look completely natural. Alberto Ponticelli's cover for this February 1998 issue captures the Main Man in full chaotic glory, with the towering, deranged bird looming overhead and a skull-adorned object lurking in the corner for good measure. With Alan Grant writing and Rafael Garres on art, issue #48 promises exactly the kind of gloriously unhinged mayhem the title promises.
