Lobo #17
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe fourth chapter of the "Lobo, P.I." arc finds the Main Man looking decidedly hard-boiled — the cover by Val Semeiks and John Dell renders him in a sharp black-and-white noir palette, trench coat and wide-brimmed hat in place, cigar clenched between his teeth, and a massive sledgehammer in hand as venetian-blind shadows slice dramatically across the background. It's a genuinely clever visual riff on pulp detective fiction, with Lobo's glowing red eyes and Iron Cross medallion reminding you that this "private eye" is anything but conventional. Alan Grant, Semeiks, and Dell bring real style to this July 1995 DC series, and the "City" of the title looms large in bold red letters overhead — setting the stage for whatever chaos Part Four has in store.
