Lobo #15

The Main Man goes gumshoe in this 1995 DC noir romp — on the cover by Val Semeiks and John Dell, Lobo looms large in a trench coat and fedora, chomping a lit cigar with his trademark grin, while a rain-slicked city street plays out a pulpy brawl in the background between a blue-suited thug, a woman in a red dress, and a trench-coated figure. A full moon, rooftop silhouettes, and skull-adorned architecture complete the hard-boiled atmosphere, making it clear Alan Grant and Semeiks are having a tremendous amount of fun with the genre. Part Two of "The MacGuffin Man" promises more of the same gloriously unhinged detective pastiche.
