Little Max Comics #68

The cover is pure Harvey fun: Max kneels beside his shoeshine kit, brush in hand, apparently mid-job on the hooves of a large draft horse — while the horse turns to give him a hilariously skeptical look and the horse's owner watches cheerfully from the wagon seat. At just 10 cents, it's a delightful example of the gentle, good-natured humor that made Harvey's kid-friendly titles so appealing in the early 1960s.

After the party, Richie invites Gloria for a walk, and they soon arrive at an ice cream parlor named after Gloria and in which she finds all of the presents he didn't bring to the party.
