Little Max Comics #17

The cover scene is pure whimsy: Little Max, bucket of red paint in hand, gleefully slaps a fresh coat onto the face of a snoozing crescent moon while a smiling balloon companion floats nearby, the speech bubble teasing "Boy! Will his face be red when he wakes up!" A ring of stars and a parade of Little Max vignettes along the left border make this a bright, inviting package, and the promise of "All New Stories Especially for This Issue" only sweetens the deal.

Baby Wind takes Max and the Talking Balloon on a trip to the moon. On the way, they stop at a star and help a sky-fairy polish it. Then, they wake up the Man-in-the-Moon and have a conversation with him. Baby Wind then blows them back home and promises to take them to the moon again sometime.
