Lion #88 is an anthology containing at least three stories. "Captain Condor and the Space-Ship Spy" features a space pilot in the year 2000 and his crew stationed on an uncharted moon, who intercept a distress message and discover mysterious disappearances aboard their vessel, with their powerful space battle-cruiser intended to fight back at a dictator. "Redskin Raiders of the Railroad" depicts Sergeant Wilson's party attempting to retrieve a German gun-position during wartime, involving the recovery of a truck stuck in a pit and a dangerous mission with explosives and mud. "Stormy Tale: Skipper of the Wheezy Anna," by R.G. Thomas, follows Stormy and his crew investigating the mystery of a sea serpent terrorizing Murren Island, resolved through an expedition by canoe to confront the creature.
