Lion #83 is an anthology issue featuring "Captain Condor: Space-Man Avenger," in which the space pilot Captain Condor and his crew capture one of a ruthless dictator's battle-cruisers and pilot it into a dreaded Red Mists region to hide from pursuit. The issue also contains "Stormy Fate: Skipper of the Wheezy Anna," where Stormy and his crew navigate their ship through volcanic dangers on Cone Island while encountering hostile natives and a mysterious witch-doctor figure. Additional content includes a historical adventure story involving characters named Dirk and Hal with the Iron Mask, as well as a "World-Wide Quiz" section with trivia questions.
