Lion #82 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "Captain Condor—Space-Man Avenger" by Frank S. Pepper follows the titular space hero in the year 3000 as he leads a crew of escaped prisoners and mutineers in a patrol-boat to evade the Dictator's pursuing navy through the dangerous Red Mists region. A separate story features Dirk and Hal attempting a daring rescue of the Queen from a tower, working to thwart the Iron Mask's plot while the arch-traitor spreads false reports to cause panic and confusion. "Stormy Tale: Skipper of the Wheezy Anna" by R. G. Thomas follows young adventurers Stormy and Jimmy Blake as they discover a cigarette clue that leads them to search for buried treasure on a mysterious island. The issue also includes a "World-Wide Quiz" feature with multiple-choice questions about sailors' badges, military regiments, dog breeds, flowers, and other trivia.
