Lion #48 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "The Case of the Pagoda Clock" is the cover story promising a thrilling detective picture story. "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon" by Frank S. Pepper follows, in which the space pilot Captain Condor battles alien moon-men called armorbats who have attacked his rocket-ship on an uncharted moon.
