Lion #47 is an anthology featuring "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon," in which Captain Condor and his crew explore an underground moon civilization and are captured by moon-men, leading to a chase through their strange city; "Gelda," a historical adventure set in ancient Rome where the gladiator Gelda pursues three escaped British prisoners and engages in a chariot chase; and "Jingo Jones and His Invisibiliser," a comedic tale by Tom Stirling about a boy who uses an invisible weight device to trick the local shopkeeper Old Gruntling into giving him sweets. The issue also includes a "World-Wide Quiz" feature with general knowledge questions.
