Lion #46 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. The lead story, "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon" by Frank S. Pepper, follows a space pilot and his companion Pete as they navigate an uncharted moon in the year 3000, encountering hostile moon-men in flying machines and eventually seeking shelter in rocks to escape attack. A second major story features the gladiator Cardoc in ancient Rome, where Gelda refuses to release the captured Edric, leading to conflict in the arena that culminates in flames engulfing the structure. The issue also includes "Jingo Jones and His Invisibiliser" by Tom Stirling, in which Jingo uses an invisibility device to help recover a stolen plow, and concludes with a "World-Wide Quiz" featuring various illustrated trivia questions.
