Life with Archie #44
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis December 1965 issue of Life with Archie puts the superhero alter ego front and center, with Pureheart the Powerful clutching a blonde companion as explosive "POW!" bursts erupt around them — while a laughing Reggie closes in and an electric beam crackles ominously nearby. A second vignette shows Archie on a raft drifting away from shore as a red-headed girl calls out "Archie, come back!" — teasing the story "Scents of Justice" within. Cover pencils by Bob White make this a wonderfully lively snapshot of Archie's superhero side, with the cover copy breathlessly asking whether a pulverizing beam from "The Bloodshot Eye" will spell the end of Pureheart the Powerful.
