Writer Sy Reit scripted the debut issue, with interior art split across three Archie house artists — Harry Lucey, Samm Schwartz, and Bob White — and inks on the cover by Terry Szenics over Lucey's pencils. The collaborative multi-artist approach was characteristic of Archie's assembly-line production style of the era, and the fact that the centerpiece United Nations sequence was assigned to Lucey — then one of the publisher's most expressive draftsmen — suggests editorial confidence in the book's flagship story.
