Life with Archie #215
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1980 entry in the long-running Life with Archie series brings a touch of public-service humor to Riverdale, with Veronica and Betty manning a "Take the No Smoking Pledge" booth on a sunny street corner — only for Archie to rumble past in his famously unreliable jalopy, belching great clouds of exhaust smoke. Veronica's exasperated speech bubble says it all: "I think we should make Archie's jalopy take the pledge!" Stan Goldberg's bright, cheerful linework gives the gag an immediately warm and playful feel, making this a charming snapshot of early-'80s Archie Comics at their most good-natured.
