Li'l Jinx Giant Laughout #35
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis oversized 1972 Archie giant delivers a generous helping of kid comedy, with Joe Edwards's cover panels setting the cheerful tone perfectly. The main scene shows Li'l Jinx treating her whole gang — five kids crowding a soda counter — to one ice cream soda shared with five straws, a charmingly thrifty act of generosity that the soda jerk looks less than thrilled about. Two smaller panels round out the cover: one features kids debating whether playground slides are how astronauts train, and another has a little girl excitedly reporting to a policeman that she "saw a cat" — the kind of delightfully mundane childhood drama that makes Edwards's work so endearing.
