This Charlton charmer from 1956 finds Li'l Genius front and center on a rooftop, decked out in a full feathered headdress and sending someone tumbling feet-first down the chimney — much to the alarm of the poor fellow dangling at the roof's edge below. A wide-eyed girl peeks over the top of the title logo while a startled bird flutters nearby, adding to the cheerful chaos that Frank Johnson brings to life with his expressive, rubbery linework on both pencils and inks. At a dime a copy, this issue captures everything fun about Charlton's mid-50s humor lineup in one wonderfully chaotic cover scene.
