Part of DC's 1997 "Emerald War" crossover event, this issue of Legionnaires crackles with green energy as multiple Legionnaires clash in an intense battle. At the center of the cover, two female combatants trade explosive emerald-tinged blasts — one in a dark costume, the other in purple with flowing white hair — while teammates in red, blue, and gold costumes engage in the chaos surrounding them. Jeffrey Moy's pencils and W. C. Carani's inks bring a dynamic, kinetic energy to the scene that makes this chapter of the crossover hard to put down.
