The arrival of Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl and their defeat of Persuader (with Lightning Lass' help) convinces Tharok to retreat to the Promethean Giant, taking the two founders. After Saturn Girl neutralizes the Empress, they are joined by Polar Boy and Invisible Kid. Before Tharok can convince the giant to destroy the Legion, Sensor Girl and a revived Karate Kid arrive. Sensor Girl releases the Promethean from Tharok's control and Polar Boy disables Tharok with absolute zero cold. Back on Earth, the other Legionnaires pick up the pieces and Brainiac 5 realizes the carnage is all his fault.
