Jul 2013 · DC · 16.99 USD; 19.99 CAD
“1 of 5”

In "1 of 5," the newly formed Legion of Super-Heroes answers a distress call from Colu, where long-dormant Brainiac technology has been awakened. As the team battles the emerging weapons and shields a rare Coluan infant, a hidden transformation unfolds within the vault—Tharok, a thief, is altered in ways no one yet understands. Written by Paul Levitz and illustrated by Scott Kolins, with vibrant colors by Javier Mena and crisp lettering by Patrick Brosseau, the issue’s cover by Steve Lightle captures the tension of a galaxy on edge.

Shortly after their founding, the Legion responds to a distress call from Colu. Somehow, the long dormant Brainiac technology has been released from its vault. The Legion must repel the weapons that emerge from the vault and protect a rare Coluan infant. But they fail to realize that a thief named Tharok has entered the vault and has been radically transformed before Ultra Boy is able to toss the vault into space where it can safely be dismantled.
