Zooming onto newsstands in 1950, this 52-big-pages issue of Leading Screen Comics spotlights Peter Porkchops in a delightfully chaotic racing scene — two anthropomorphic animal characters in open-wheel racecars tear around a banked oval track, trading bumps and mischief in classic funny-animal fashion. A cat and a dog peek in from the top corners of the cover, adding to the lively cast presiding over the action, all rendered with energetic linework by cover artist Otto Feuer.
