Two action-packed scenes fill this 1960 Charlton cover by Pete Morisi — a brawl spilling out of a building in the upper panel, and a tense armed confrontation in the middle scene where two men level a pistol at a determined cowboy in blue. Dominating the foreground is Lash LaRue himself, steely-eyed beneath his wide black hat, lasso cord in hand and ready for trouble, with story titles "Home Made Hero" and "The Banker's Special" framing the drama. A fine ten-cent slice of frontier adventure, complete with a Transogram sweepstakes and the chance to win a real live pony.
