This 1958 Charlton double-sized issue packs 68 all-new pages of the "King of the Bullwhip" for just 15 cents, and the cover by Charles Nicholas and Vince Alascia makes every penny feel earned. Lash La Rue dominates the composition — his portrait looming large beneath that trademark wide-brimmed black hat — while a smaller full-figure Lash cracks his bullwhip at a villain whose hat goes flying and who is sent reeling backward in a wonderfully kinetic swirl of color. With interior work from writer Joe Gill and the same Nicholas/Alascia art team, this "Great Double Value" issue promises twice the Western action for fans of the whip-cracking frontier hero.
