Lady Death has destroyed Lucifer and ushered in the Judgment Era. In order to prepare her for her pivotal role in the coming conflict, the angel, Vandala, begins to send Lady Death on interdimensional quests to teach her valuable lessons. Her first stop is the realm of Manicore where she battles the demon, Agony, and returns the land from an icy wasteland to its former tropical jungle state. Unbeknownst to either Lady Death or Vandala, Asteroth has been awakened to avenge Lucifer's death.
