La Guerre du Pouvoir #2
"Parfum d'apocalypse" delivers a high-stakes cosmic clash in La Guerre du Pouvoir #2 (1993), where Invisible Woman and Thor barely contain a gamma bomb's fury—only for the Magus and a twisted duplicate of Thanos to snatch fake Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man right under their eyes. Written by Jim Starlin and illustrated by Ron Lim, with inks by Al Milgrom and colors by Ian Laughlin, the story hurtles toward a far-off planet where the Infinity Watch, Thanos, and Earth's heroes converge, all drawn by the Magus' signal—while Doom and Kang close in. The cover by Ron Lim and Al Milgrom captures the tension, as heroes face off against their own dark reflections in a battle that's only just begun.

Invisible Woman and Thor divert the power of a gamma bomb. The Magus and his duplicate of Thanos arrive and take the fake Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man right out from under the heroes' noses. Galactus and Doctor Strange look for the Magus but Doom and Kang are hot on their tail. The Magus destroys Galactus' ship. The Infinity Watch plus Thanos tracks the Magus' signal to a far off planet and arrive just as Doom and Kang leap away. Earth's heroes arrive at the same location and begin to battle Adam Warlock and his allies. The heroes on Earth are attacked by evil duplicates of themselves.
