☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe issue features two stories. In the lead story, "Master Plan," the alien Jilakos have ravaged the universe and now prepare to conquer Earth, with only Konga standing in their way. After a troubled crossing to Baja California, Konga arrives in the desert where he encounters Red Con Three, a Jilako representative, and together they head toward the alien space ships for the final phase of the attack on Earth. In the second story, "Green Fields," a war-weary soldier contemplates desertion, revealing his traumatic past and moral crisis as he struggles with the choice between following military orders and preserving his humanity.
In "The Master Plan," Earth faces an alien invasion when towering Jilakos descend with unstoppable ships, their armor defying conventional weapons. When a swarm of army ants drives Konga from India, he stumbles into the fray—unfazed by the aliens’ attacks, his tough hide making him immune. With the military finally crippling the ships’ legs, Konga takes matters into his own hands, tossing the spherical vessels into space with childlike glee.
In the quiet aftermath of battle, a soldier from the Korean War stumbles upon a serene village that feels like a dream away from the war’s chaos. Drawn in by its stillness, he finds himself torn between the peace it offers and the duty he must reclaim. A brief, haunting glimpse of calm in a time of conflict.
