Kirby: Genesis - Captain Victory #2

Part of Dynamite's 2011 Kirby: Genesis publishing event, this second issue of Captain Victory puts the title hero right in the thick of cosmic danger. Alex Ross's cover depicts Captain Victory — clad in his red, white, and blue uniform — being hurled backward through a glowing pink dimensional space by a massive, mane-covered creature with enormous golden claws, while smaller armored figures tumble through the energy-charged background. It's a vivid, kinetic image that sets an appropriately grand stage for Sterling Gates and Ross's story "Tarin's Tale," brought to life inside by artist and inker Wagner Reis with colors by Inlight Studio.
