Kid Montana uncovers a scheme by the outlaw Mart Held to frame an innocent man, Pete Getty, for horse theft. When the Kid confronts Held at the Almaro, Held challenges him to a dangerous showdown with multiple armed men, but the Kid exposes Held's crimes and defeats him with help from the sheriff. After the Kid reveals that Held and his associates stole from Jess Davis and robbed his room, the three criminals are arrested, and the Kid ensures that the reward money goes to Davis's widow who works as a laundress at Fort Benson.
